The old fishing village of Kivik has a tasteful mix of older and newer buildings. A walk in the old quarters near the harbor dating back to the 16th century is pure pleasure. Numerous writers, poets, musicians and artists constantly draw their inspiration from a rosary of pearls throughout the area. At Kivik there are both picturesque small shops and also slightly larger ones, a well-stocked outlet, cafes, restaurants, Österlen's oldest museum and Sweden's oldest rural cinema! Many artists and artisans work in the area, and it was here in Österlen that the first Konstrundan was arranged at Easter 1969.
A warm welcome to Kivik - All year round!
