Albo Book Town

Albo Book Town

Member of International Organization of Booktowns

Sunday, May 4, 2025, Albo Book Town was raised in the international book village organizationInternational Organization of Book Towns.

The initiative for the formation of Albo Book Town was taken byKivik's MuseumIn collaboration withBorrby Bokby, which has long been Sweden's only book village.

Over the years, Kivik has invested a great deal in literature, including in the form of book release, author talks, stories about books and much more. Through the formation of a book village, we will expand the investments in books, literature and reading.

The name Albo Book Town comes from the old district nameAlbo, since the collaboration around Bokbyn takes place within what was previously Albo district.

Behind the venture stands Kivik's tourism,Kivik's Museum,Kivik's Parish,SPF Seniors Kivik,Miracle Kivik,BestKille book change corner,Vitemölle book change corner,Brösarp's guest GifveriandBengtemölle farm. Anyone who wants to invest in literature, reading, books within Albo Härad, is warmly welcomed in the collaboration!

We also expand the investment in books, literature and reading in southeastern Skåne in a collaboration with the simultaneously formedÖnneköp Bokby, withLiterature Roundand with book circles in collaboration withStudief Association Adult School Skåneland.
